Winter Haiku II

Stealing breath and heat
That coldhearted carnivore
Winter’s icy wind

Thermostat answers
The wind at the windowpane
Conversing in heat

Winter lullaby
Head bowed, limbs swaying softly
Snow laden fir tree

Solitary steps
The field, a blanket of white
Beneath the night moon
