Summer Haiku II

Distorted fan voices
On a hot and humid day
Cry out their hellos

Smelling of canvas
The hammock sails in the yard
Like a ship of yore

Wet swimsuits hanging
Limply on the back clothesline
Pennants from the lake

Sunlight weighs on skin
With warmth and fond memories
Of other summers
